Well, this weekend from a relative perspective had its fun points but the weather really was a bust. I think it rained every single day here except yesterday (Monday Feb 8th). Sunday was interesting I got up at 10 and pretty much sat and read the whole day. Neil slept till 5 p.m. and missed the uneventful day. One of the girls in our group got us tickets for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which was an agglomeration of military bands from all over the world (not the US though). It was really exciting even though it was partially raining for half of it while we sat in the soccer stadium. You’ll see pictures soon.
Monday We got up and went to Paddy McGuire’s to watch the Super bowl Live. Unfortunately the commercials don’t apply here so we ended up with pretty much a Monday night football game on a Monday morning. I’m currently reading Max Tucker’s book I hope they serve beer in hell, which is about this guy who is a Duke law graduate who is pretty much a player and a dirt bag, and all his adventures in his 20’s. Neil and I get in pretty big discussions about the shit he does. I guess it’s been the focal point of my weekend. Trips’ winding down, this weekend is dinner and concert at the Sydney Opera House, Hunter Valley Wine tours, then Cairns, Then New Zealand. THEN HOME! Yikes.
• I’m just about done with all my applications. Just need some revisions and I can send them off!
• Books are ridiculously expensive here and I can’t find anything on the 60’s to read for class.
• I’m starting to debate my fitness for track this season… a little worried.
• Still can’t figure out whether I’m supposed to hold the toilet flush button down or just quickly push it.
• Tried my first imperial Porter this weekend – tastes like a Hershey’s chocolate bar in a chocolate mocha with a shot of baileys Irish cream. Whoa.
• Everyone seems to be getting fed up with each other, I’m staying neutral but shit’s getting ridiculous.
• Neil hates Australia
• I hate PELA class
• Still yet to make it to Redoak for their sampler and James Squires Brewpub. People don’t cooperate, looks like I’m going there on my own.

Go on your own! It seems like the time is flying by! Can't wait to see your pictures! Can you make a beer to go with cherry peach and almond bread pudding?
