The week just kept getting better. Apparently there is a huge rock-climbing warehouse located right next to ASDM. and all the ASDM employees get to use it FREE! so I went to check it out, and it looks incredible. The place is enormous. I for sure plan on doing it after work a couple times. I forgot what happened much of last week, but Thursday we tried walking to New Town, but it failed because people didn't want to walk far. So Neil and I found the Dinner crew at Darling Harbor and we all got 40 oz. and sat under the bridge drinking. It was quite enjoyable. Then we made our way to the Home-bar (same as last Thursday) for hours of dancing.
Friday, everyone was working but A couple of the girls were heading to Coogee beach. I asked if they could take a bag with my swim suit and book and what not so I could run there. It was pretty damn hot, but I eventually found them. Did some reading, Scaled some rocks, and explored the coastal cliffs. Awesome. I forgot to eat, so by the time I ran home, it was already 5:00!
Made a pea-soup pizza (don't know if I mentioned it already) but it is absolutely mouthwatering. I layer the first level on top of a Mediterranean pita with a think layer of pea soup. next comes mozzarella cheese, then a thin layer of tomato sauce. DELICIOUS. and everyone else that's tried it loves it as well.
Friday was a blast. Pre-gamed in the apartments and played catch phrase. got to the gaff around 10:30, had 2 jager-bombs. then we walked to Scubar for dancing. Rest of the night is a blur.
Saturday, slept till 12:00. got up and went to a cafe down the street in another attempt to upload photos, with no luck. Got back and decided to check out the Duty free shop in the rocks. apparently we can't buy anything from there until the day before we leave. Oh well.
I also forgot to mention I'm fermenting/distilling Rum in an attempt to save some loot. Cost about 4$ for 2 gallons. we'll see what my yield is after the freeze crystallization.
Saturday night I took it easy and we went to the Trinity bar to chill. I got a white rabbit dark ale, which is very good. Then people wanted to go check out a strip club, I certainly did not object. but it ended up being a $25 entrance fee. Went to 3 wise monkeys next, where I ended up leaving 5 minutes later.
Sunday, Market day!
Went to the Market on the rocks. Fantastic place, I think Aubrey and April, you guys would love it. I taste tested all these jams, hot sauces, spices, teas, nuts, fruit and fudge. Very enjoyable Sunday experience.
Next was Paddy's market in China town. It was basically an over sized flea market with some really cheap stuff! I bought a collard shirt and a flask. Then I discovered their produce and sea food market! I found these amazing sesame/nut bars that are tremendous. bought a large head of coli-flower for 1.50$ and then about 50 mussels for $5! Successful day!
Got back took a nap, then went running/exploring around Sydney, and finally got to run around the Opera House. Got back, went swimming and to the sauna. Then a bunch of us wanted to hit up Macquerie brewery to get their happy hour deal. Made it there by 7:45 to find they don't do it on Sunday's. Bought a couple drinks at their regular price: I got 2 Bavarian reds (my favorite) and a cider (tastes like welches apple juice). I also bought a barley wine, that comes from Frances oldest brewery!
I'm at work now and it seems pretty low key, especially considering Australia Day tomorrow.
